long day

So today is going to be my long day at work but will be busy.. Got chosen to work on a group for the employee survey that we did last fall. We got the company results now we break off into local groups to discuss any concerns, issues and suggestions for improvement. The biggest ones for us at the Contact Center will be job security/more hours.. and the pay.. altho can't complain.. benefits are excellent. On par with the nurses apparently at the hospitals.. Then i get to be acting Team Lead all this week from 4-11 today and then 3-11 the rest of the week. Wee bit nervous but inbound is better to handle than doing the outbound which is alot pickier when it comes to the reports. So that should keep me fairly busy this week *grin* And i'll get to sit in on my first Team Leader meeting this week. weeee. well we'll see how today goes. Allison :)

Well now this is pretty grand,Raye, thank you from the left handed /one handed typist! As Kath mentioned, I am going to be off work for a while, and my skiing season is so over! Rats. I asked the emerg doc about getting in one final donation of a pint of the finest at CBS - they will cut me off for a year after the surgery - he sadi best to hoard my strength- rats cubed. so I will focus on repairing the arm and that is that. Had a great ski season while it lasted! Have been told I am good enough to become a ski instructor-level 1 so that is a goal for next season- and my kd is awaiting so ttfn! Rod

congratualtions and thanks

Raye,
thanks so much for initiating this! I think this is just what a family spread out over the province needs! Congratualtions on your acceptance and what a great award (you definitely deserve it with all of your hard work). It was great to see everyone we did see last weekend, and always good food when the family congregates :)
Aunt Derry and Uncle Tom, thank you for the gifts, as always fun and thoughtful (Meaghan got a kick out of the cow hide).
Raye, keep in touch about the b-day thing!
ttyl,
lynds

Fine thanks

Took a trip to T.O. last weekend and caught the flu, one of the deadliest kinds I'm sure, on Friday, so spent the entire weekend sick in bed in the hotel. Am just now starting to feel better and am not sleeping all day - only half- so am 1/4 of the way back to where I normally am. For those of you I missed seeing last weekend, so sorry. For those of you who called and asked how I am, getting fine , thanks. For those of you who didn't know, now you do. Back to work tomorrow!

East Coasting

From Raye:
I recently received an email from Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia stating that I have been offered admission to the MBA program at their Sobey School of Business. I was also awarded a $5000 entrance scholarship.
I have yet to hear from my remaining schools, but SMU was my first choice so it looks like I will be heading to the east coast this summer. Studies commence in September.
