On Friday, September 30th, I toured the south shore of Nova Scotia with some friends. Colin, our guide and south shore local conducted the tour for us. Here are some choice pics.

Me and Pooja (an international student from India) at Peggy's Cove. It wasn't as warm as the time I went with Mom & Tom but there were fewer people.

Out little tour group from left to right: Jaap - Cathy's friend from Holland who came to visit for a few days, Pooja - thank goodness for another girl on the trip, Colin - our intrepid guide, & Gael - an exchange student from France.

We visited Colin's family farm. They have a commercial fruit and vegetable operation (300 acres) in Hebbville - and, yes, they are Hebbs. The farm was in full autumn mode with crates of squash and pumpkins around. Huge bags of apples and cranberries on the shelves. It was interesting to explain things like corn stalks, gourds and indian corn to our international friends. And, we got to taste the sweetest, juiciest apples right off the tree.

Finally got to Lunenberg and all I can say is a I HAVE to go back. What a beautiful, quaint town. It is full of character but we arrived late and didn't have much time to spend wandering the shops or enjoying the restaurants that overlook the bay. Next time.

I hope everyone is doing well. cheers, Raye :)
