Another Saturday Night...

Well here am I , doing 4 loads of laundry and two of dishes... where does it all come from? lol... have spent a total of 5 hrs doing Tai Chi, first along the shore of lake Ontario at dawnish with a group from the club, we meet every Sat am at the bottom of Navy st. in Oakville - a lovely little park surrounded by century homes of ship's captains and prominent persons from the 19th century, whilst watching the flights of black cormorants whistle in from Toronto Island to feed on baitfish at the mouth of 16 mile creek, and being watched in turn by the various people who are going about their lives , moms and dads with children in tow, numerous yuppies of various genders and their matching dogs, an assortment of well heeled elderly and joggers, runners and bicyclists, all
' "lookitttin" at the peeple doin' tai chi.' Fantastic place for a people watcher like me, and my Tai Chi is getting better by the day, as my fitness levels improve.Had proof of that as I participated in a 4 hr intensive workshop in Guelph this pm which left me soaked with perspiration and feeling better than I have in days- now, as long as I can move a muscle tomorrow...lol.
Meaghan spent Friday evening running as part of a relay tem raising monies for Cancer Research at the Centennial Park Track in Etobicoke. she raised over $200 just on her pledges alone. Brava Brava Signorina.
Lyndsay has completed her placement in the cardio dept at Trillium Hospital, and returns to class for the summer, WHILE holding down a waitressing job- she was voicing concern about not getting any shifts and, lo and behold, she got booked for 4 days in a row- wow- a classic case of being careful what you wish for. She is dissappointed about the tips, as the crowds at these Yacht Club functions, receptions, b-days and the like, seem loach to part with their coin- the classic open bar crowd- "leave the wallet at home honey... our host is buying"
I am so proud of all that she does I ache inside tho I will never tell her... whoops I just did...lol
Kathy is spending the weekend with her pal Jaye at the cottage- I am sure they are having a blast she returns home tomorrow.Hope the rain did't leave them cabin bound, they both love to spend time gardening, and will be outdoors all day if they can.
Lyndsay and Meaghan are taking me out for brunch tomoerrow - s/b fun. I notice they both get to sleep in tho haha.
I will call Dad in the am before we leave to wish him happy father's day. I went to Grama and Grampa McTaggart's gravesite in burlington a couple of weeks back and did some work- cutting turf away from the footstones, and tidying up a bit. I will probably go out there tomorrow again, and perhaps revisit the Gardens as well.
I start physio for the Left shoulder (rotator cuff) Tuesday, in addition to the right elbow- I can curl 9 kg for 3 sets of 10 now with the right arm- coming along nicely. Apparently my grip strength is higher than normal- obvious my therapist never met Cam or uncle Red, but the right is within 10 psi of the left at this point
that is all the ewws and all the news- gotta go check the laundry, Love to all .Rod.

Sunny dayz

Hi All!

Taggart and I are enjoying the weather, getting out for lots of walks. Taggart is now more than 16 pounds, smiling, laughing and grabbing at stuff. He even rolled over a few times, much to his dismay because he hates being on his back. Rob is running a lot lately, always in training for another 1/2 marathon. He's thinking of doing a full one by the end of the season. My soccer season has started and we're unbeaten in two, no goals for me yet. Hope everyone is doing well, and maybe we'll see you soon!
