"So far so good"

"So far, so good." (over heard thru an open window on the 22nd flor of the Empire State building as a man with bedsprings glued to the soles of his shoes hurtled past,headed for the pavement.)
Well yes indeed, my day of commencement for what will be my 50th trip around the sun, having successfully completed 49 circuits ended a leetle earlier than perhaps some might think appropriate. On balance, it began a leetle earlier than perhaps some might think appropriate.
Dad's Cab Service was at Pearson at 3:30 am to meet the 2hr delayed return flight from Cancun and chauffeur the little bunnies to their nests. all were vewwy vewwy tiewood. I,on the other hand ,was quite ready to have a day. I snoozed from 4:30 to 6:45, then arose and headed out to Tai Chi class. Had a great workout, yet was enervated by the process, rather than tired. Returned home and spent the next 4-5 hrs bathing, and reading and playing my guitar(which are all things I love to do) at my leisure.
My plan for the day was to sleep in, then have a snooze 'till siesta time in the afternoon, and follow that up with a nap before bedtime. darn that tai chi and guitar-playing and to top it off, my dear wife prepared a great supper- steak and green salad and taters- (not nasty ones, gollum),and cake and ice cream .By da geez , I wuz resting comfortably!
49 times around the sun,
just look at all that I have done.
actor, lighting tech,stagehand,
miner,plumber,warehouseman,
salesman,technician, ski patroller,
teacher, son, brother,cousin,nephew,
husband, father, uncle.
I may be one of the few people who actually have enough hats to have a different hat for each of those "hats"
'hat's pretty bad.(and so is t'hat pun).
but I digress(my father says I do that from time to time.)
Want to tell all who read this and anyone who will listen just how much I love this life of mine.
I am blessed.truly blessed.
As for the arm, I am working it as hard as I may, am getting smiles and encouragemuent from the truly professional people helping me recover and anticipate GREAT THINGS TO COME.

Job

Well I didn't get the job at the clinic for the Clerks position but at least I know now that i'm going to have to practice some more on the computer with word and excel. I was grateful at least to have been able to write the test and that they were even interested enought to look at my resume. So i'll just continue on with my Senior Rep work.. actually i get to take over this week.. wedenesday, thursday and friday and monday and tuesday of next week. I'm also volunteering as a docent at the Art Gallery so i've already been in for training for that.. The marketing coordinating let it drop that she's leaving for Toronto.. so hrmmmm.. depending on funding of course her job *might* be posted.. so if it is i'll jump on it.. doesn't hurt and if I at least get an intereview it will help keep me in practice. If not i'll just keep learning what I can and helping out where needed.. I'm hoping to even help in the gardens.. the director/curator is hoping to bring the gardens back to where they were at one time historically.. so that will be fun.. so alot of reading to do for that.. about the history of the house and of course with the current exhibit .. being the 85th anniversary of the founding of the group of seven they are running an exhibit that coincides this.. :) So I'll just keep plugging away..

Our best wishes Rod from all of us in Sudbury....I so enjoyed the Concert.... 2 weeks ago....many familiar faces ...but wrong venue for me ....getting into Festival mode soon(today) and invite you to come sit in my tent and watch theworld go by on July 8th - 10th.
